TECHNICIAN

– Ensure all vehicle repairs and preventive maintenance are completed according to the manufacturer’s specifications and guidelines

– Provide safe and reliable vehicles upon completion of repairs and preventive maintenance.

– Perform in-fleet servicing on new cars according to company procedures as required.

– Perform turn-back servicing according to company procedures as required.

– Perform vehicle servicing/repairing to maintain company standards; maintain Out-Of-Service at or below 2%

– Maintain a safe and clean work/bay area

– Perform other related duties as required

– Notify management when inventory is running low

– Inform service writer and/or receptionist upon job completion and handing the key to the receptionist and/or service writer

 

 

SERVICE WRITER

– 2-5 years of experience in automotive industry

– Extensive knowledge of software used for preparing estimates, including but not limited to: ShopKey Shop Management SE and Mitchell Estimating, Microsoft Suite

– Working knowledge of vehicles

– Make important contributions to service revenue growth.

– Monitor customers’ records to check when scheduled servicing is due and contact them to arrange appointments.

– Identify remedial work that needs to be carried out in the future by arranging a thorough inspection of the vehicle when it is in the service center.

– Advise the customer when handing back the vehicle or contact the customer earlier if the remedial work is urgent.

– Demonstrates high levels of customer care and generate additional revenue.

– Keep track of inventory and order accordingly

– Ensuring all tickets are written correctly according to services performed, including both labor and parts, and collect full payment before closing out the invoices

– Display professionalism at all times

– Ensuring all parts ordered from vendors are correct and making follow-up calls as required

 

RECEPTIONIST

– Serve visitors by greeting, welcoming, directing and announcing them appropriately

– Answer, screen and forward any incoming phone calls while providing basic information when needed

– Receive and sort daily mail/deliveries/couriers

– Maintain security by following procedures and controlling access and tagging vehicles appropriately

– Update appointment calendars and schedule vehicle repair appointments

– Perform other clerical receptionist duties such as filing, photocopying, collating, faxing etc.

– Maintain a clean and safe environment including the lobby and restrooms

– Ensuring that all filing cabinets are organized files monthly and stow away as needed

– Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite and willingness and ability to learn software used such as ShopKey Shop Management SE

– Display professionalism at all times

– Solid communication skills, both written and verbal

– Ability to be resourceful and proactive in dealing with issues that may arise

– Ability to organize, multitask, prioritize tasks and work under pressure

– Update customers by 3:00pm on the status of their vehicle being repaired
